What happens if there is a arrest warrant but the case is closed? I’m looking for the answer in California.

If the case is closed, there wouldn’t be a warrant for that case. If a warrant is out there, it means that the case is not closed. It is entirely possible that one party in a case may have already been convicted (closing their part of the case) but another party could still have a warrant (their part of the case is not closed).
