Does anyone know the court case that officers could not enter a home even if the one the warrant was for officers seen inside the home the officers could not cross the threshold to arrest the person who had a misdemeanor arrest warrant.
The court case was in Police Legal Science approximately Sept to December 2007.
With an arrest warrant, the officers can enter the residence at anytime, if there is reasonable suspicion that the person they are looking for is inside the residence, whether its a warrant for a misdemeanor or not. Like the person above stated, a warrant is a warrant.
There isn’t one. A warrant is a warrant.
