Arrest Warrant In One State. Does It Effect You In Another State?

If there is a warrant for arrest, for misdemeanor, in one state, does it affect the individual in another state?

of course it matters and no matter where you are in the US you will be arrested if you get stopped for a minor traffic violation and that officer runs your info.
Extradition CAN be done for misdemeanors but it’s highly unlikely.
But you’ll still get picked up, car towed, impound fees, a few days in jail while the new cops call the old cops, don’t forget, where ever you were going when you got stopped, you ain’t going to make it.
You’ll probably get out fairly soon.
Then 6 months later, stopped again, back to jail, car towed, missed appointment, pissed offamily…
You’ll get out pretty soon….a couple days maybe….
then next year when you get stopped again………Guess what?
Just clear up your warrant before it really haunts you….

What you have done in one you have done to all
As long as you live in the United States of America
what you do in one state is know by all states
they all belong to the same club of United States of
    AMERICAN

States are only allowed to extradite you for felony’s. I have never heard of one doing it for a misdemeanor.

  5. Phil Anders says:

Yeah, they’d probably track you down eventually. Government bureaucracy being what it is, might take a while.

In the USA they will extradite you back to the state with the offense. You are nver free and clear of the law

Yes, the info is linked up across the US. The exact charges might vary whether or not it will affect you getting a job or something in a different state, depending on if they are more or less strict on the issue.
