What else do you know about the person?
OK, so you have a name and probably what state they were reported missing from. Try finding the person listed in school, college or university listings. From the date they became missing. If you know their approximate age that will help. Also the Census bureau does a good job of tracking people (relatively); so some information may be available. Also check some of the ancestry sites, they might help.
