There is a woman that I know, who really wants to have a child. Because of medical problems, she can not concieve naturally, and she wants to adopt. She is constantly discussing this with me, and asking me what I think.
I do not know how to tell her that this is not going to happen, without ruining our friendship.
She is engaged to her boyfriend of 6 years, and she is 36 years old. She believes she would have no problems adopting, and would like us to help her pay for her homestudy. . .
Problem is. . . Her boyfriend is a registered sex offender, for crimes against children, they are not even close to financially stable, and she has so many medical problems. . . she can barely even take care of herself. She is a very nice woman, and I really do value our friendship. . . but I do not know how to tell her that I don’t think it will happen, and we will not support her in this. Anyone have any suggestions?
