Among the numerous incidents of racial injustice to the Supreme Court, led to some protests that the few cases of Bernhard Goetz, the subway vigilante known was “New York indicted for attempted murder acquitted after shooting four unarmed black youth. It is a social evil, for in many ways is the epitome of the Goetz case of racism in society and the dangerous consequences of “fighting violence with violence” mentality. Few research took the time depth of the case and what it says about our culture . While Al Sharpton an early reputation thanks to the case, it remains largely ignored by black leaders. A careful examination, the lack of outrage about this case is easy to explain. Not only the victims Goetz is black, but they all had criminal records. For many white Americans that they had only the club, which earned “it. For many blacks, the four young men were too strong foundation to serve the causes of the impact of change. You are not marketable enough to care for them. white with little protest, then this denial of justice not contestés.Le jury acquitted Goetz murder charge attempts had been made and usually many of them are victims of violence. All about the four men, whose criminal record, their place of residence (village projects in Claremont fatal South Bronx), and their blackness said their representatives everything they had feared and hated by New York City.Goetz, on the other speaker to be accepted the New York fear taken. Before this incident he had not had any problems with the law, kept for him, and he was white. Goetz supporters can deny all they want but its brightness was his ticket to freedom than the blackness of his victims had their convictions was condamnation.Les young people may have played a role, and their arrogant attitude in court. But sent the idolatry of Goetz (rather than a simple acquittal), and letters to the hatred of the families of four young people (full of racial slurs and death threats) make it difficult to Rev. Flake Floyd’s statement that said: “Think dismiss me, killed when a period of four blacks whites, the cry of the death penalty would be almost automatically, “as hyperbole. This section is not an indictment against Goetz, but culture of hatred that excuses for his actions. In fact, the jury seemed, by a statement he said shortly before the shooting in which he, that the only way to 14th St. was cleaned to get rid unmoved “n ***** s *** s and s . ‘But this is just a case of how a woman in Harlem, said, “five” wild and meeting one of them a gun, “It should have put was now calm. For, as described in Malcolm Gladwell in The Tipping Point, was Goetz an obviously disturbed person and his actions, although tragic had (especially for Darrell Cabey), could be put into perspective the incident, he thought. But to talk this decision in principle not only for the people in New York but also throughout America. I do not do anyone for the denial of their right to self defense. I think, not just self-defense the law into their own hands is increasing. This does not mean the fight against violence with violence and shooting of unarmed young people prefer it one of you is certainly not an act of self defense. He took part in the cycle and only brings more destruction.Enfin, this article does not pretend to apologize for the behavior of the four young people not to be innocent victims. I know for inclusion in the indeed believe that the intent to steal or extort money from Goetz and her record speaks for itself. Two years after the incident, Goetz, one of the youths, James Ramseur, was found guilty of rape of a pregnant girl 19 years old with whispers weapon into the roof of the building where he lived. They had no children of Nice. But the judiciary to promote not only nice people. Our judicial system is there for a reason. as imperfect as it is blatant, it is preferable to a shooter just and emotionally unbalanced take the law into his own hands. The last thing was a city as dangerous as New York in the 1980s needs a violence.Tout instigator of the world knows the facts apolitical story. At the time of the incident in 1984 was Bernhard Goetz an electrician for 37 years running a business of his apartment. He was tall and frail, hardly a promising candidate for the crime wave to survive the city. In fact, Goetz had been mugged in 1981, when three young black men to make him Canal Street Station.Grandir attacked his fear of his anger was what he thought was addressed, an ineffective police, thugs, and the New Yorkers in general. After his first assault, Goetz asked for a gun license. As he was dismissed, he illegally bought a gun. On the afternoon of December 22 colère.Comme Goetz assert their usual with many victims of the attack, Goetz developed a bit of contempt suited to the demographic composition of the attackers. It has always been the effect of the saddest side of violent crime have been, because it creates a hatred against innocent people wrong. This criticism, unfortunately, too often greatly Goetz is but a key role in understanding the cult of worship to play, as he following his work was among the (almost) white New Yorker and the denigration of his victims. However one feels about Bernhard Goetz, do not deny that he, on behalf of thousands of New Yorkers tired of the crime wave ville.Quand said he entered a subway car at 14th Street Station, came Goetz that for him, not as much as the people symbols of what the city in the state where he was. Across from him sat four young African-Americans. Barry Allen, Darrell Cabey, Troy Canty and set (all 19) and James Ramseur (18) also jumped on the moving train for an arcade flying machines. The other passengers were sitting at the other end to keep their distance from the young people because, as one of them later said they were acting “rowdy. Canty approached Goetz and asked him: “How are you doing?” “Good.” At that time, according to Goetz, Canty smiled and said, “Give me five dollars.” “What do you say?” “Give me five dollars.” Goetz has hidden the gun under his jacket and opened fire on four young people who were trying desperately to escape and hide among the terrified passengers. Allen, Canty and Ramseur were met for the first time. Goetz, then went to Darrell Cabey, who lay on the seats, and either said or thought, “You do not look so bad, here’s another” and shot the spine Cabey, who was recovering paraplegic for vie.Allen Canty and Ramseur and was soon discharged from the hospital. Darrell Cabey coma and suffered brain damage before his release. It was never to walk or think about the capacity of eight ans.Après a passenger triggered the alarm and the train stopped, Goetz left the car and fled into the dark tunnel. For five days, hidden Goetz near New England, before he was to the police in Concord, New Hampshire.Goetz to New York brought by the NYPD and was given a hero welcome. Wore shirts with pictures of his face under the label “Thug Buster”. The Guardian Angels collected money for his bail. So desperate that the city was able to reduce crime, was Bernhard Goetz idolized a Parody écœurante.Peu justice in this hectic hustle bothered to see who exactly are these young men have been exactly what happened in the subway, or what their record company was. In fact, before James Ramseur was convicted of sodomy young woman, her records consisted mainly of petty crime. But that was lost during the donor Goetz. For them, the little they all knew what counted. They are black, they had some kind of record, and they came to the South Bronx. As a lynch scenes in the early 20th Century was founded, this quantity simply wanted blood. Never mind that seeks to eliminate violence against violence is the distorted logic. They wanted revenge at any cost and also jury.Goetz was charged with attempted murder, assault, charged recklessly endangered and illegal weapons possession. But the jury’s acquittal of all charges except illegal possession of arms and Goetz was sentenced to one year in prison, less than a wrist slap in the light of its actions. As the crowd, the jury (mostly white) was motivated more by revenge than justice. They were so blinded by their hatred, they would not even condemn him recklessly endangers the name of the other passengers that he could not have had tuer.Goetz shame if you credit for reducing crime in New York, as if four young men shot dead has a significant effect on something as big as the urban crime. In addition, crime has not begun in New York to decline in 1991, seven years after the incident, Goetz. The man, once shy and fragile a mediator shameless self-righteous vigilance converted. His statements are even charged, “I wanted to kill and make them suffer as much as possible” to the absurd. While taken by police officers from New York to Concord, he expressed hostility toward New York and claimed that upset by officers from New York accent. In truth, parts of the story that bothers me the most of any statements made by Mr. Goetz, who was obviously an emotionally disturbed person. It was Goetz’s psychological problems, no doubt. Darnay Hoffman’s attorney, even in civil proceedings in 1996 by Darrell Cabey and his family brought autant.Qu admitted that what bothers me to think of what to shoot for a country allows someone is unarmed, when four young people who try to escape it and practically free anyway. Certainly not England, as a farmer Tony Martin was told in 1999. In August of this year, Martin took two armed burglars broke into his property, as they fled, killing the young thief. Martin came into the prison and was released after a case has been called into question his mental state. Interestingly, Ireland, a farmer named Padraig Nally was arrested after the shooting and killing John Ward Frog, “an intruder on his property in October 2004. But in October 2006, Nally conviction was overturned and he was released in December. The jury first has accepted the excessiveness of the action Nally. pleats in the case, however, that Ward Frog Irish Travellers, a group in Ireland was much despised. For this reason, the shares acceptable.Comme Nally Nally, Goetz free market, because it was a lucky that his victims were minorities. Claims of self-defense of his supporters are easy by the fact that none of these young men were armed distributed, they tried to withdraw, and, above all, that actually went Darrell Cabey and Goetz shot him in the back. There has been much debate about whether Cabey had been shot before he received the final blow that would paralyzed him and whether they actually Goetz said, “You do not look bad, here is another”, or just thoughts. In the context with the incident, these details are unimportant. The fact that Goetz was a teenager and shot him point blank, is evidence enough that he even beyond what was accepted as self-defense. Had he just run away from the gun and had, I would will agree it was well within his right to self defense and would accept the verdict of the jury must it easy for a breach of prison feu.Je a weapon does not accept that Goetz was a quiet man keeps his own company. A person in the prevention of difficulties not in a train with an illegal firearm. A person who does not want problems to minimize the extent of the confrontation. Do not get me wrong, Goetz was on this day with a statement faire.Que it says about our country, when someone like Bernhard Goetz is forgiven, not only but also by so many celebrated and what it says about our respect for the Constitution? More importantly, what if Goetz said about race relations in America today? Is there anyone seriously doubt that the victim was white, the shooter would have been at least difficult to walk free? To counter this, many proponents point to Goetz Case weeks Austin, the 29-year-old African-Americans, and shot Zilimbinaks Terry, one of two teenagers, who shouting racist insults at him were underground in Brooklyn in 1980. A predominantly white jury acquitted even weeks. However, a case could be made that it is more of a PR campaign was on behalf of the Board entering into all hearts. At the time of the study weeks have raised racial tensions to a boiling point in New York. If a majority white jury convicted a black man for the shooting of a white boy, have been harassed with racial slurs had him were the inevitable riots. Ironically, I think Austin should weeks of time to do an unarmed teenager to shoot. Both Goetz and the weekly show case judgments that by the desire to make a statement, often lead to miscarriages of justice is motivated graves.Il difficult to disagree with Al Sharpton who led an investigation into whether the been civil rights of four young men injured. Ron Kuby thought so enough to serve as an advocate for Cabey Darrell and his family if they have a civil suit filed against Mr. Goetz, who was eventually tried in 1996. The jury (of minorities in particular Today there), found that Goetz had acted recklessly and awarded Cabey $ 43,000,000 in damages. Goetz filed bankruptcy, but the message is what compte.Si proved nothing else, the verdict against Bernhard Goetz in 1996, that there is hope in the American justice system. More importantly, says Ron Kuby, the racial prejudices that both Goetz and the first jury was motivated. A prominent civil rights lawyer found Kuby, that would Goetz kill not only teenagers, but also expressed his desire to Troy Canty to evaluate eyes with her keys. Kuby said that the declaration must then be deducted the previous jury, that the life of the black teenager played no role. “Here, Kuby was wrong, that the race of the four young people who care deeply to the jury. For them, the fact that the four young men were black all the difference in the world.

Shows, however, all these TV-CSI have a dark world where people are between criminals, victims and the police shared. In their world, many people designated as “Vic” (abbreviation for “victims”) or “Perp (short for” Author “). Investigators suspect that many, just to name a few, by a parade of suspects in violation of what the investigation they could do if they are innocent. The real criminals are serious about improving their skills while CSI. Though these methods may not be the last, best and certainly there is much to learn about cleaning a place to live make it difficult for the police. If the time it takes to be a crime against the time it takes to look to solve commit it, shows the CSI say criminals, be they from the police in numbers large commit factor and can have many crimes, if they are caught, if it happens. Some criminals in the series are like everyone else, but most of them are not. Many of them are very rich driving around in luxury cars, dress in expensive clothes and spend their time in exclusive clubs. Especially in Miami, many people are closely associated with large scale, the ruthless crime. Most people, especially adults, they think from the news on TV are vaccinated, but the research shows that this is not true. But over time we will show through, that we watch on TV, and set the feelings and situations that we caused in our own world. Watch CSI, we start to think that lurk everywhere, and criminals are waiting for us to make the wrong train. After all, we see them in Las Vegas, Miami and New York. We identify with the hero, to take their views and then, gradually, our world is dark, sinister and more polarized. [8 May 2008], which was Gary Dourdan Warrick Brown, CSI played, caught with drugs.
